REVISED FIREFEST V DETAILS

A week ago we announced what we thought was a great line-up for Firefest V. Over the course of the next few days there were a lot of people expressing concerns about the event. It wasn’t so much about the bands playing - most seemed genuinely pleased with the bill, as are we – but about the cost of tickets and hotels, getting time off work and the physical endurance needed for a three day festival. With a resounding number of previously ever presents expressing doubts about being able to attend on all three days, we have, as we always have, listened to our core audience and reverted to a two day show, something which you all made clear in your phone calls and e-mails was the way you would prefer Firefest to stay. Our break even point still remains high, but given the quality of the line up over both days we’re now confidant that by reducing the festival to two days we have made it more affordable and more attractive to everybody.

Firefest V will now be staged over two full days on Saturday and Sunday the 25th and 26th October, and will be at it’s usual home of Rock City in Nottingham. Due to time restrictions we’ve had to leave out three of the bands originally announced, so sadly Eden’s Curse, Dreamland and Crimes Of Passion now are not playing, but the rest of our proposed Friday bands will be consolidated into the other two days. The running order is as follows (first to last)…

Saturday 25th October

  • Talon
  • Loud & Clear
  • Paul Laine
  • Mitch Malloy
  • Tony Harnell
  • Jeff Scott Soto
  • Pink Cream 69
  • Tyketto

Sunday 26th October

  • Burn
  • David Readman
  • Rox Diamond
  • Pretty Maids
  • Valentine
  • White Sister
  • Tall Stories
  • Danger Danger
  • Firehouse

The simple reason for more bands on the Sunday is that the curfew is a little later. Things will have to run exactly on time and we assure you that all of the bands will be playing the same length sets as originally agreed. A full list of playing times will be issued very soon.

The cost is still £49 for each day or £98 for both (now full price), but now you get 8 artists on Saturday and 9 on Sunday.
